Opening speech Maurices ORiorden Past Editior Art Monthly

There’s
three
 words
 that
 come
to
 mind
in
 thinking
about
this
 exhibition;
the
 first
 one
is commitment.

 Firstly,
there’s
the
idea
of
 commitment
to
 a
collaboration,
 or
 as
 Claudine
and
 Tijn
 have
described
it,
their
artistic
marriage.

The top-end sweep of Australia from November to April is a melange of moist atmospheres, of rain-steeped heavens and verdant environments. During other months, aridity will replace a colour swatch of green with charcoal-streaked bone, tan and brown.
